This local favorite gourmet food shop approached us with the idea of sending out a monthly newsletter to showcase specials offered within their two stores. We also recognized a great opportunity to drive online ordering of both to-go meals and their famous gift baskets. Utilizing tools within Toast, the restaurant software they were already paying for, we started a monthly newsletter optimized to drive clicks to their website.

Believe it or not, according to Hubspot the average open rate for email marketing is only between 15%-25%. With a combination of high-quality photographs and content, along with a carefully optimized subject line and preview text, we achieve a 47.3% average open rate with our campaigns.

Toast measures this as orders placed within 14 days by people who opened the email. Our average campaign generates just over $8400 in sales.
We also set up automations to drive new orders based on actions customers had taken recently. We’ve set up funnels to thank guests for ordering both online and in person, and to invite them to visit again if they haven’t made a purchase in awhile.
