Create monthly email newsletter
This local favorite gourmet food shop approached us with the idea of sending out a monthly newsletter to showcase specials offered within their two stores. We also recognized a great opportunity to drive online ordering of both t0-go meals and their famous gift baskets. Utilizing tools within Toast, the restaurant software they were already paying for, we started a monthly newsletter optimized to drive clicks to their website.
47% open rate - more than double the average rate
Believe it or not, according to Hubspot the average open rate for email marketing is only between 15%-25%. With a combination of high-quality photographs and content, along with a carefully optimized subject line and preview text, we achieved a 47.3% open rate with our first campaign.
Generated over $20,000 additional revenue in less than two months using newsletters and automations
Toast measures this as orders placed within 14 days by people who opened the email. Within 10 days, we’d hit $7,376 in sales and this number was still increasing.
We also set up automations to drive new orders based on actions customers had taken recently. We’ve set up funnels to thank guests for ordering both online and in person, and to invite them to visit again if they haven’t made a purchase in awhile.
